Randy Frazier's remarkable career and unwavering dedication to high school athletics led to his well-deserved induction into the TSSAA Hall of Fame in 2022. Over the years, Frazier demonstrated an exceptional commitment to developing athletic programs and nurturing the talents of young athletes in Tennessee.

Frazier was born on November 6, 1961, and started his coaching journey at Gleason High School. For 25 years, he served as the head girls’ basketball coach, establishing a legacy that resonates deeply within the local community and beyond. Under his guidance, the Lady Bulldogs flourished, achieving a staggering career record of 613-123. This reflects an outstanding winning percentage of 83% throughout his tenure.

His coaching prowess led to nine exhilarating trips to the TSSAA State Tournament, highlighting the consistent excellence and competitive spirit that Frazier instilled in his teams. Notable moments in his coaching career include reaching the finals in 1993 as the TSSAA Girls State Basketball Runner-Up and clinching the TSSAA Class A Girls Basketball State Championship titles in 1992, 1999, and 2007. In honor of his substantial contributions, the gymnasium floor at Gleason High School now bears his name.

Frazier's leadership extended beyond the basketball court. From 1995 to 2009, he served as the Principal of Gleason High School, further influencing the school's educational and athletic environments. Currently, he holds the position of Director of Schools for Weakley County, continuing his mission to enhance educational and athletic programs.

Moreover, Frazier's service to TSSAA has been significant. He serves as an Ex-Officio Member of the TSSAA Legislative Council, representing the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS). His involvement at this level ensures that he continues to shape policies and decisions that positively impact high school athletics across the state.

Randy Frazier's career is a testament to his dedication, leadership, and passion for sports, making his 2022 TSSAA Hall of Fame induction a celebration of his lasting impact on high school athletics in Tennessee.
