Jeff Morris, born on February 26, 1962, dedicated his career to nurturing high school athletes, both on and off the field. His journey as a coach started at Henry Co. High School, where he spent nine years coaching football and baseball, before making a significant mark at Milan High School. For 22 years, from 1996 until his departure in 2017, he served as the head football coach at Milan, showcasing his exceptional leadership and coaching skills.

During his tenure at Milan High School, Morris achieved an outstanding overall record of 222 wins to just 69 losses. His expertise and dedication to the sport were evident as his teams made 21 appearances in the TSSAA playoffs, boasting a commendable record of 53-19 during these crucial matches. Under his guidance, Milan's football teams achieved significant milestones, including being crowned TSSAA State Football Champions in both 1998 and 1999. Additionally, they were the TSSAA State Runner-Up four times in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012, a testament to their consistent performance and Morris's ability to motivate and excel.

Morris's contributions to high school football extended beyond Milan High School. In 2001, he was the head coach of the Tennessee All-Star game, showcasing top players from across the state. His commitment to excellence was recognized in 2003 when he was named the Tennessee Titans Coach of the Year.

In honor of his significant contributions and dedicated service to TSSAA and high school sports, Jeff Morris was rightly inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame in 2020. His illustrious career not only highlights his success in leading teams to victory but also his profound impact on the lives of countless young athletes.
