Championship Venue


Murphy Center

Opened in 1972, the Charles M. Murphy Athletic Center serves as home of the Middle Tennessee State men's and women's basketball teams, who play their home games in the 11,520 seat Monte Hale Arena. Murphy Center has hosted TSSAA state basketball tournaments since 1973.

During its 48-year existence, Murphy Center has staged countless concerts for some of the world's most renowned artists, including Elvis Presley, Elton John, Kiss and three consecutive sold-out performances by multi-platinum country music sensation Garth Brooks.

Girls': March 10-13, 2021
Boys': March 17-20, 2021


Gates generally open 45 minutes before the first scheduled game of the day.


TSSAA Championship Event Cards, TACA cards, TSSAA ID cards and TMSAA ID cards will NOT accepted. Tickets, when available, may be purchased in advance through GoFan online ticketing.

COVID-19 Procedures

Temperature check required for entry. No one whose temperature measures above 100.4°F will be permitted to enter.

All spectators must wear facial coverings if within 6 feet of others and if using a projected voice within 15 feet of others at all times while on-site (except children under age 2) and maintain social distancing (six feet, or the equivalent of two empty seats between themselves and other fans) from anyone other than those living in the same household.

Finally, if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms during the preceding 7 days, please do not attend: Fever; Cough; Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; Shaking chills; Chest pain, pressure, or tightness with exercise; Fatigue or difficulty with exercise; Racing heart rate; Unusual dizziness; Loss of taste or smell; Sore throat; Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; Unusual rash or painful discoloration of fingers or toes.


Parking is $5 per day near Murphy Center in the large parking lot on Greenland Drive. Due to road construction around the campus we encourage all attendees to allow for plenty of travel time.

Handicap Accessibility

Murphy Center is handicap accessible via the loading dock on the east side of the arena. Parking is available in the Greenland Dr. lot for vehicles displaying valid handicap placards.


Food and drink will be available for purchase at Murphy Center. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
