After leaving Maryville following the 2016 season, Quarles took his talents to Furman University, his alma mater, where he became the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. His induction into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in the same year further solidified his legacy as one of the most successful and influential high school football coaches in Tennessee history.
