Open from 1904 to 1979 on a 67-acre campus originally built as the Columbia Arsenal in 1890 by the federal government. Dropped "military" from its name in 1978 as a result of declining enrollment. The campus was transferred to a board from local churches of Christ in 1979, who established Columbia Academy.
