Cameron School was established in 1928 when Pearl Jr. High was renamed in memory of Lt. Henry A. Cameron, a former school instructor of science at Pearl High School, who lost his life in the Battle of Argonne Forest, France on October 30th, 1918, two weeks before the end of World War I. The school began serving grades 7-12 in 1955 and graduated its first senior class in 1957. The last senior class graduated in 1971.
