  • Expanded the football playoffs to include first and second place teams
  • Merged football playoffs with annual Clinic Bowl
  • Initiation of Classification in track, volleyball, cross country, golf, and wrestling
  • Addition of softball and pentathlon for girls and boys and girls’ soccer
  • Landmark decision to change girls’ basketball from half-court to full-court play
  • Development of catastrophic insurance for schools
  • Enlargement of TSSAA Staff
