  • Coach Driskill assisted in the progression of the integration process by allowing his 1957 – 58 squad to play against Oak Ridge High School, which had a black player

  • His leadership as Athletic Director of Clinton High School led to the addition of track and the reinstatement of baseball as TSSAA sponsored sports at Clinton
  • As principal of Maryville High School, he supervised the construction of the football stadium and gymnasium and served as game director for all football playoff games hosted by Maryville
  • During his campaign as principal, he added softball, soccer, and wrestling to participating sports at Maryville
  • Mr. Driskill has served on various regional and state TSSAA committees
  • Played all sports at Clinton High School and his basketball jersey was retired upon his graduation
  • Played football and basketball at Tennessee Technological University
