Dedicated more than 50 years to teaching, coaching, and athletics in the Memphis area
Began his career at Colonial Junior High School
In the 1970s, he served as the baseball coach at Briarcrest Christian School
In 1982, he became the head football and baseball coach at Evangelical Christian School in Cordova
His ECS baseball teams won 3 TSSAA State Championships and had 2 runner-up finishes
Overall baseball record of 427-209
His football teams won 4 TSSAA State Championships with 3 runner-up finishes
Overall football record of 218-88
Returned to Briarcrest as an assistant coach in 2012
