  • Teacher, assistant football coach, and Principal at Loudon High School for over 10 years

  • Member of the Loudon HS football coaching staff when it won the school’s first TSSAA State championship in 1969

  • Supervisor for Instruction at Loudon Co. Schools from 1981 - 1995

  • Started the Coaches’ Education classes for TSSAA in 1995

  • Conducted and helped design the material for “Coaching Principles” for over 7,000 TSSAA coaches in 18 years

  • Professor at Lincoln Memorial University for 18 years

  • Member of National Faculty for the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) for 18 years

  • Received “Distinguished Educator” award by the Tennessee Department of Education in 1998

  • Retired in 2014
