  •  Spent his entire career in the Trousdale County School System

  • Began coaching football in 1983 as an assistant coach at Trousdale Co. High School

  • Became head coach at Trousdale Co. High School in 1984 and remained in that position for 24 years

  • His father, Jim, is a fellow TSSAA Hall of Fame coach and was also the football coach at Trousdale Co.

  • Compiled 239 wins and only 61 losses

  • 5 TSSAA State Championships (1990, 1993, 1997, 1998, 2005)

  • Football coach at Satterfield Middle School (named after his father) for 17 years

  • Athletic Director at Trousdale Co. for 7 years

  • Head baseball coach at Trousdale Co. from 1988 – 1991

  • Numerous State Coach of the Year honors

  • A. F. Bridges Award in 2000

  • Retired from coaching in 2007

  • Became Director of Schools in Trousdale County in 2007
