  •  Longtime Administrator and Coach from East Tennessee

  • Began coaching at Mt. Juliet Junior High School

  • Head boys’ basketball coach and assistant football coach at Ooltewah High School

  • Associate Principal at Ooltewah High School from 1981 to 1986

  • Associate Principal and then Principal at East Ridge High School in 1986

  • Returned to Ooltewah and served as Principal for 11 years

  • Served on the TSSAA Legislative Council from 1995 - 2009

  • President of TSSAA Legislative Council 5 years

  • Vice-President of TSSAA Legislative Council 6 years

  • Received an A. F. Bridges Award for Principal of the Year for the 1999 – 2000 school year

  • Gymnasium at Ooltewah High School is named the “Edward M. Foster Gymnasium” in his honor

  • Became Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Secondary School Principals in 2009

  • One of 8 State Executive Directors appointed to the National Association of Secondary School Principal’s Advisory Committee

  • Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame

  • East Ridge High School Hall of Fame

  • Ooltewah High School Hall of Fame
