Inducted 2016

Spent his entire career in education at Columbia Central High School

Began coaching at Columbia in 1966, and coached everything but softball, baseball, and golf

Assistant boys’ basketball coach under TSSAA Hall of Famer Hardy Loyd

Head boys’ basketball coach in 1974 when Mr. Loyd took over as Principal

Coached from 1974 – 1991 and his teams won over 300 games and made 2 TSSAA State Tournament appearances

Became Athletic Director at Columbia Central in 1982 when fellow TSSAA Hall of Famer, Jim Cartwright, resigned

TSSAA A. F. Bridges Award in 1998 – 1999 for Athletic Director of the Year in his district

Served as Athletic Director for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2010
