  •  Coached football at Marshall County High School in Lewisburg for 22 years

  • His football team won the TSSAA State Championship in 1984

  • Overall record of 169 – 79

  • Captured 3 Regional Championships

  • Won 10 District Championships

  • His teams made 15 TSSAA play-off appearances

  • Named District Coach of the Year 10 times

  • The field house at Preston Hopkins Field at Marshall County High School was named the “Bob Edens Field House” in 2001 in his honor

  • Won an A. F. Bridges Award in 2008 – 2009

  • Retired from coaching in 1999

  • Became the Principal at Cornersville High School in 2001, and retired from that position after the

2013 – 2014 school year

  • Coaching career began in Loretto in 1969, where he served as defensive coordinator for the football team and coached girls’ basketball

  • Coached for three years at Lincoln Co. High School, before returning to Loretto for a year in 1976

  • Went to Marshall Co. in 1977, where he coached for 22 seasons

  • Played football at Moore Co. High School, earning all mid-state and all-state honors

  • Played football at Middle Tennessee State University
