  • Vice-President of TSSAA Legislative Council from 2005 – 2009

  • President of TSSAA Legislative Council since 2009

  • TSSAA Principal of the Year in the 8th Athletic District in 2005

  • TSSAA School System Administrator of the Year in the 8th Athletic District in 2011

  • Tennessee Athletic Director of the Year in 1999

  • District Basketball Coach of the Year 3 times

  • West Tennessee Basketball Coach of the Year in 1974

  • TSSAA District 8 Coordinator from 1996 to 1999

  • A. F. Bridges Award Committee since 2005

  • His schools won the A. F. Bridges Award 6 times (5 at Crockett Co., once at Bradford)
