Has worked professionally for the Knoxville News-Sentinel, The Democrat-Union in Lawrenceburg, and The Tennessean
Served as the Director of Media Relations at TSSAA for 16 months before returning to The Tennessean to cover prep sports
Currently in his fourth year as the Sports Editor at The Tennessean
Enjoys the history of high school athletics and has done numerous nominations warranting the induction of countless TSSAA Hall of Fame members
Contributed several articles to the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament programs honoring teams on past state championships
In the early 1980s he implemented a weekly football wrap-up, complete with district standings, which were used in papers statewide
