  • Coached girls’ basketball, football, and track for approximately 17 years at Jackson’s North Side High School

  • Served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Lambuth University football team for one year (1985)

  • Assistant Principal for 12 years at North Side High School

  • Athletic Director at North Side for six years

  • Principal at North Side High School from 1973 to 1985

  • Principal at Jackson Central-Merry High School from 1993 to 1997

  • Assisted in getting the “Best of the West” program implemented in West Tennessee

  • Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the 1997 – 1998 school year

  • His 1983 North Side football team went 10-1, which was the most wins for any North Side football team

  • Named WDXI Coach of the Year in 1983
