  • The Oak Ridge High School track facility is named “Ben Martin Track”
  • Selected to the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame in 1986
  • Coach Martin had one state basketball tournament appearance (1958)
  • Selected the ORHS nickname and school colors in its first year of existence (1943)
  • During his tenure as Athletic Director, ORHS won 14 state championships (7 track, 4 football, 2 basketball, and 1 tennis)
