  • Served as Head Coach of the East team in the 1974 East/West All-Star Basketball Game
  • 1989—assisted Coach Buck Van Huss in McDonald’s All-Star game
  • 1974—Won National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Achievement Award
  • 1961—Happy Valley Gymnasium was named in his honor
  • Served 49 years on Carter County Commission
