Opened in 1973, the Charles M. Murphy Athletic Center serves as home of the Middle Tennessee State men's and women's basketball teams, who play their home games in the 11,520 seat Monte Hale Arena. Murphy Center has hosted TSSAA state basketball tournaments since 1973.
During its 45-year existence, Murphy Center has staged countless concerts for some of the world's most renowned artists, including Elvis Presley, Elton John, Kiss and three consecutive sold-out performances by multi-platinum country music sensation Garth Brooks.

$10 per day Wednesday through Friday for school-age children and older. Tickets for Saturday's championship games are $12 each. 2017-2018 TSSAA Championship Event Cards and TACA cards will be accepted for admission at the pass gate to the right of the main entrance. The TSSAA ID card and TMSAA ID card are not accepted for admission to championship events. Tickets may be purchased at the gate or in advance through GoFan online ticketing.
Parking is $5 per day near Murphy Center in the large parking lot on Greenland Drive. Due to road construction around the campus we encourage all attendees to allow for plenty of travel time. The Rutherford Co. Chamber of Commerce has provided this helpful construction map (PDF) to help you plan your route.
Murphy Center is handicap accessible via the loading dock on the east side of the arena. Parking is available in the Greenland Dr. lot for vehicles displaying valid handicap placards.
Food and drink will be available for purchase at Murphy Center. No outside food or drink will be allowed.
