  • Spent 31 years as varsity basketball, coaching a total of 1,760 games
  • In 1971, he was named President of the newly formed Dixie Majors which was the only baseball league in the United States for ages 18 – 21
  • On April 25, 1998, the Sardis, Tennessee community baseball field was named “The Mack Chandler Field” in his honor; at that same time, the State House of Representatives issued a resolution proclaiming April 25 as “Mack Chandler Day”
  • Inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame on March 3, 2000
