  • Coach Allen also coached tennis, 9th grade girls’ volleyball (City Champs in 1980), and assisted with the football team

  • 19th District Coach of the Year in 1964
  • 17th District Coach of the Year in 1972
  • 16th District Coach of the Year in 1974
  • TSSAA AAA Middle Tennessee Association Coach of the Year in 1990 & 1993
  • Optimist Club Coach of the Year for the Nashville Interscholastic League (1964)
  • Optimist Club Coach of the Year in the 16th District in 1972
  • Inducted into the Martin Methodist Hall of Fame in 1996
  • Inducted into the Region VI Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997
