Born on March 7, 1951, Williamson started her journey in the world of high school soccer officiating in 1986, a pivotal year when soccer became sanctioned by the TSSAA. She distinguished herself as a TSSAA soccer official who registered to officiate soccer matches longer than any other person in Tennessee, illustrating her longstanding dedication to the game and its development at the high school level.

Over her illustrious career, Williamson officiated over 700 matches, including more than 50 post-season assignments in both boys' and girls' soccer. Her expertise and fair judgment were recognized as she was selected to work at every level of district, region, sectional, and state competitions for both genders throughout her career. Her trailblazing path reached notable milestones as she became the first female to officiate a TSSAA Girls and Boys State Soccer Championship and was the first woman selected to referee the Boys State Soccer Championship final match. These accomplishments underscored her role as a pioneer for female officials in the sport.

In addition to her on-field achievements, Williamson made significant contributions off the field as well. Starting in 1986, she served as an Assigning Officer for the Tennessee Valley Soccer Referees Association, where she played a critical role in coordinating and managing the assignment of referees, ensuring that qualified officials oversaw games, which enhanced the quality and integrity of high school soccer matches across Tennessee.
