  • Tennessee Coach of the Year 3 Times
  • Coordinator for tennis at TSSAA Coaches’ Clinic
  • Director of tennis tournaments in Nashville for city organizations, the Southern Tennis Association, and the United States Tennis Association (ASTA)
  • Coach Poston’s tennis teams were in the Final Four each year after the state format change in 1988
  • Prior to 1988, his team was in the top 4 every year except 1985, when they finished in 5th place
  • Teams won 4 NIL Championships
  • Elected to Tennessee Teachers Hall of Fame in 1998
  • Received B. A. in 1955 from Belmont College, and his M. A. from Peabody College in 1960
