      • 45 Years Football (1946 – 1991)
      • 14 Years Baseball/Softball (1978 – 1992)

    • Nashville Area Old Timers Baseball Association Hall of Fame
    • Received 30-year service plaque and medal on March 14, 1975
    • Played football at Lewis County High School, where his 1935 team went undefeated and unscored on; from 1933 – 1935 only one game was lost by this team to their opponents
    • Was called up at age 21 to play in the final month of the 1939 season with the Southern League pennant-winning Chattanooga Lookouts
    • Professional baseball career ended due to a war injury in World War II
    • Had a 12-year baseball career with the semi-professional Monsanto Chemical Maulers as a player and a manager
    • Officiated in 6 decades, from the 1940’s to the 1990’s
    • “Prep Official of the Year” in 1987 by the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club
